Video Premiere: The Answer Lies in the Black Void – “Ataraxia”

After viewing the newest video, “Ataraxia,” from atmospheric doom duo, The Answer Lies in the Black Void, we’re reminded of a line from a UFO music: “chains, chains pulling you down.” The almost five-minute video we’re premiering immediately largely consists of vocalist vocalist Martina Horváth (Thy Catafalque stay vocals) slowly lugging a size of heavy chain by some type of desert-like panorama. The entire train appears pointless, as a result of she’s not confined by the chains, she’s simply dragging them. However we suppose that the chains characterize one thing else metaphorically. Anyway, the general vibe is low, which completely fits the gradual, dirgey doom, carried out by multi-instrumentalist Jason Köhnen (Celestial Season, Bong-Ra), of “Ataraxia.”

The video was shot and edited by No Whole Movies and the the monitor was taken from the Answer Lies in the Black Void’s second full size, Thou Shalt, which was produced by Köhnen and combined and mastered by James Plotkin. The album is about for an October 13 launch on Burning World Information. Place your preorder right here.

Right here’s what the band needed to say about its new video:

“’Ataraxia’ is the album opener of our second album Thou Shalt. The album is impressed by the idea of Carl Jung’s shadow… the seek for and the embracing of 1’s darkish aspect. That is how Jung defined it: ‘Taking it in its deepest sense, the shadow is the invisible saurian tail that man nonetheless drags behind him. Rigorously amputated, it turns into the therapeutic serpent of the mysteries.’”
