Song Exploder – Seal

“Kiss from a Rose”

Seal is a multi-Grammy-successful singer and songwriter from England. His tune “Kiss from a Rose” was first launched in 1994, on his second album. It was an enormous hit, thanks partially to being featured within the film Batman Ceaselessly. It landed on the highest ten charts in a number of nations, and ultimately went quadruple platinum within the US. On the 1996 Grammys, it received Song of the 12 months, File of the 12 months, and Greatest Male Pop Vocal Efficiency.

“Kiss from a Rose” turning into a success was not a foregone conclusion, although. Seal nearly didn’t report it. And when it was first launched, it didn’t make a lot of a splash. However for this episode, Seal and his longtime collaborator, producer Trevor Horn, informed me the story of what it took to carry “Kiss from a Rose” to life.
